Song of Solomon 1:7-8, “Tell me, O you whom I love, where you feed your flock, where you make it rest at noon. For why should I be as one who veils herself by the flocks of your companions? The Beloved If you do not know, O fairest among women, follow in the footsteps of the flock, and feed your little goats beside the shepherds’ tents.”

These two verses are like John 10:27. In that verse, Jesus tells us His sheep hears His voice and a stranger they will not follow. The beloved tells the Shulamite woman to follow his footsteps or path that he has already left. Once again Jesus told us that He is the way, the truth, and the light. We do not need to wander aimlessly; all we need to do is just to be in tune with Him and walk in His steps. At the end of verse 8, the beloved tells the Shulamite woman to feed her little goats by the shepherd’s tents. She is to do this after she has found him. Only when we find Christ can we properly feed those around us.
