Stand and Keep Standing

Stand and keep standing

Ephesians 6:13, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

In my short years of living this world, I have discovered that this life has a lot of obstacles. These obstacles come in different shapes and sizes. Regardless of the size, they are called obstacles for a reason. If you add on top of that being a believer, it makes it even more difficult. In John 16:33, Jesus says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” That is a promise that Jesus has made to us. He first warns us then promises us that we can overcome. Yes, this life is difficult, but we are more than able to conquer it.

1 John 5:4-5, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Faith is the weapon God gave us to over this world. The question we must ask is, have faith in what? This above verse answers that question. We must believe in Jesus and what He did on the cross and what He did in us. Colossians 1:27, “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” This verse explains to us what Jesus has done for us. The reason why Christ in us, is the hope of glory is because we are no longer alone in this world. We have God the creator of Heaven and earth living in us. He isn’t just a spectator, He very much wants to be involved in our lives. That is why we have faith in Him to guide us through this life. He not only guides us, but He also enables us to accomplish what He has planned for our lives.

Because of this truth, we must expect to prosper and succeed in all that we do.
